Market for Legend Silicon's Products
China is the world's largest television market with 380M households in 2007, and it is expected to grow even larger with the introduction of digital TV devices and programming in advance of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. As one of the co-inventors and developers of the China DTTB standard, Legend Silicon has a first-to-market advantage with products that support the design of both fixed and mobile applications. Legend Silicon's products use the technology they invented, Time Domain Synchronous-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (TDS-OFDM), the core technology on which the China standard is based.
Legend Silicon has designed GB20600-2006 semiconductor products that offer:
■ high bandwidth to support HDTV and / or multiple SDTV channels;
■ low power dissipation for handheld applications;
■ small form factor for space constrained applications;
■ optimized multi-path performance that improves mobile reception under channel fading, echoes and impulse noise conditions;
■ high quality HDTV while moving at high speeds.
